Isca Recruitment is delighted to be recruiting a proactive dynamic qualified accountant to join an established business at their head office in North Cornwall as the Financial Controller. This is a new position due to continued and sustained growth in a business that is leading the way in its sector and where you can genuinely make a difference in the fast-paced company.
Financial Controller – The Role
Reporting to the Finance Director and working within a superb finance team, you will be responsible for:
- Ensuring producing timely financial reporting for multiple entities.
- Supporting multiple projects from the planning through to their eventual completion, including managing the financial transactions.
- Monitoring and reporting on financial performance of projects.
- Business partnering non finance teams across multiple sites, providing financial and technical advice.
- Stakeholder management including investors, grant providers and social enterprises.
- Identifying potential issues, developing and implementing solutions.
- Contributing to the strategic direction of the business.
Financial Controller – The Rewards
In return this employer provides an engaging working environment, competitive salary of up to £42,000 – £48,000pa plus outstanding comprehensive benefits package as well as ongoing support and CPD.
Hours of work: 9 day fortnight, equivalent to 36 hours per week Mon – Fri
(Part time hours may be considered)
Location: Hybrid – minimum of one day per week in the office + quarterly team meetings
Financial Controller – The Person
- We are keen to hear from ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified accountants, or similar with excellent technical knowledge, proven ability in delivering accurate financial and management reporting as well as experience of managing workflow and project managing processes undertaken by others.
- You will be a self-starter with a high energy approach and a desire to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, change environment where you will be hands on.
- You’ll be a first-rate communicator able to build effective relationships as well as business partner with non-finance partners to develop their financial understanding.
- A natural solutions finder with excellent analytical skills, able to analyse, understand and explain information to non-finance staff at all levels.
- You will be a team player and enjoy working in a collaborative manner with colleagues at all levels in the business.
- Excel skills including use of formulas, look ups and pivot tables are essential.
Please note whilst this role is primarily home based you will need to be able to commute to Launceston at least one day per week.
