A proactive Accounts Assistant is needed to join a growing forward-thinking business near Woodbury. Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Accounts Assistant will be responsible for a range of accounting duties including:
- Maintaining purchase and sales ledgers.
- Reconciling bank transactions.
- Monitoring and chasing unpaid invoices.
- Reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepancies, missing invoices and queries.
- Credit control, issuing statements and liaising with management to resolve disputes.
- Issue sales invoices daily for work completed.
- Compiling monthly consolidated invoices and associated reports for customers.
- Closing ledgers at month end and supporting month end accounts
- Providing reports as necessary and requested by management.
Salary: £20,000 – £23,000pa depending on experience + benefits including AAT study support if desired, holiday, pension, wellness package, free parking and more!
Hours: 8am – 4:30pm Mon – Fri although happy to consider candidates seeking part—time hours
Location: Office based – please note due to location candidate will need to have their own transport.
Start Date: Immediate start available although not essential.
Accounts Assistant – The Person:
The successful candidate will have a friendly personality and enjoy being in a busy, varied role as a key part of a small office team. You will have either recent accounts experience including purchase and sales ledgers, alternatively you will have commenced AAT studies and be keen to gain practical experience.
Good IT skills and effective communication skills are essential. You will need to be organised and able to work using your own initiative.
